Block.one, a self-described “open-source software publisher providing end-to-end solutions” for businesses on blockchain, is prepping to open its latest office in Washington D.C.
More specifically, this is in Arlington, Virginia, but marks an even bigger expansion into the United States for the company. Also, this opens up more jobs for people around the area, something that Block.one prides itself in doing, according to a press release.
Expansions and establishing new jobs
Speaking on the matter is one Brendan Blumer, CEO of Block.one. Here, Blumer states:
“We are excited to be setting up Arlington, Virginia as our U.S. headquarters. The region boasts a rich combination of security, engineering, and IT skills that we seek, and its proximity to the nation’s capital positions us close to the policy innovation around digital assets and distributed ledger technology in the U.S. This expansion opens up important new avenues of talent expansions for us at a time when there is rapidly increasing demand for blockchain-based technologies.”
Notably, the company hopes to bring in around 170 high-skilled jobs in Arlington over the next three years. That and it will continue to expand its offerings at its other offices in Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and Blacksburg, Virginia, the release finishes.
