The Bank of America is bringing on an expert to help them build and take advantage of the Ripple blockchain technology created by Ripple Labs, according to a job posting on LinkedIn.
Interestingly, it’s possible that they might have already brought that person on, considering that the application states it’s no longer accepting anyone. Regardless, though, this is a great sign that more companies are looking into blockchain and its positives.
Moving into the Ripple project
“This role leads the product management team for the Ripple Project, a decentralized ledger technology based solution to cross border payments marketed to GTS clients,” reads the posting. “The incumbent will be responsible for driving product strategy and growth, overseeing daily product management routines, and overseeing the development of new initiatives that result in an innovative and highly-competitive product offering.”
Overall, the candidate will not only design the way Bank of America takes advantage of Ripple but will train others on how to use it, on top of plan every interaction alongside the future of its takeover. Finally, they’ll also travel around to Bank of America clients and inform them as to why Ripple is useful and why they should take advantage of it as well.
