These 4 Monster Gadgets Will Help Apple Take Back The Tech Throne

Muhammad Nadeem

Apple Inc. didn’t have much to celebrate in 2016. It was a painful year for the iPhone maker in many ways.

For the first time in more than a decade, Apple saw a decline in sales of the iPhone in 2016. iPhone sales account for about 60% of the tech giant’s total revenue. On a full-year basis, the company posted its first annual revenue drop since 2001.

Apple unveiled the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in October. The new phones featured improved camera and some minor upgrade, but it wasn’t a big hit for the tech giant. The new MacBook Pro, which made a debut in October, was the most notable disappointment from a consumer standpoint. The new notebook criticized for a high price and the limited memory options.

So, what is Apple planning for 2017? Here’re our four predictions about what Apple is going to do in 2017.

Apple iPhone 8

Apple is rumored to launch a new iPhone model possibly dubbed the iPhone 8 that would feature an all-glass body, edge-to-edge OLED display, a 3D camera, and a long-range wireless changing ability. The iPhone 8, which is expected to be unveiled in September 2017, would feature glass front and back design like the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s, according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

In addition to long-distance wireless charging technology, the iPhone 8 is said to come with an improved camera technology and a 3D camera. Kuo expects that Apple could add a dual optical image stabilization to the iPhone 8 to enhance the selling points. The optical image stabilization function improves photo quality and optical zoom range in the smartphones.

Apple could launch the iPhone 8, along with two standard models, the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus, in September on the 10th anniversary of the iPhone.

New Three iPads Models

The Cupertino-based tech giant might reveals three new iPads, including a bezel-free 10.9-inch design, in the second half of 2017. On top of the new bezel-free model, the company is expected to introduce a new 9.7-inch low-cost iPad Pro, which will be sold alongside the iPad Mini. The upcoming iPad refresh is rumored to replace the 9.7-inch tablet with 10.1 inch model. The new tablets will include displays supporting the wider DCI-P3 color gamut, according to reports.

Kuo, which is the famous Apple analyst, believes that the company could unveil a 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2, a 10.5-inch iPad Pro, and a low-cost 9.7-inch iPad in 2017. In a note to clients, Kuo wrote that the company could bring revolutionary changes to the iPad’s design in 2018.

Apple Watch

Apple Inc. could launch the third edition its smartwatch in September. Rumors suggest that the Apple Watch 3 would be a stylish and multi-color variant smartwatch.

The third edition might come with a micro-LED display. No major change to the size or shape is expected. However, rumors say that the company could add OLED displays in its upcoming smartwatches.

According to the rumors mill, Apple could launch the next generation wearable with a smart band. A patent filed by the company shows a smart fabric wristband that has ability to show the time or simple notifications.

Desktop Computers and Refresh MacBook Pro

The new MacBook Pro features a retina display, Touch Bar, a larger Force Touch trackpad, Touch ID, and USB-C ports. The company claims that it’s a hot seller, but many high-end users weren’t happy with the lack of memory causing glitches and pauses, according to reports.

Apple is expected to introduce a refresh MacBook Pro line in the second half of 2017. The company could drop the price and add a 32GB RAM option.

In response to a question posted on the company’s internal employee message board, CEO Tim Cook said that new, great Mac desktops computers are on the way. Cook assured employees that the company is committed desktop computers. “If there’s any doubt about that with our teams, let me be very clear: we have great desktops in our roadmap. Nobody should worry about that.”

So, we expect that Apple Inc. will release new desktop computers in 2017 to compete with Microsoft’s first ever desktop computer called the Surface Studio.
