Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is slowly seeing how developers are taking Apple Watch capabilities to a new level thanks to a string of interesting apps that continue to enhance user’s experience on the wearable. It is becoming clear that Apple Watch is not your typical wearable when it comes to what it can do. Volkswagen is already making good use of the wearable’s capabilities having developed an app that lets car owner’s open doors right from the wrist.
Apple Watch opens doors
Not only does the watch open doors, but car owners can be able to monitor the location of their cars as the watch operates as a tracking system while providing access to air conditioning settings straight from the wrist. Apple has always affirmed that such creative apps are sure to creep up as the iPhone maker opens up its ecosystem to developers.
Under the Car Net Service, Volkswagen car owners can now track how their cars are being driven from a remote area, an important aspect especially when kids are in control of the steering wheel. The service is also sure to be of great benefit when someone forgets where they packed their car in a big parking lot. With the watch, a car owner may also set alerts to be notified when someone exceeds certain speed limits or leaves a given location boundary.

Apple has already seen a number of companies update their apps in a bid to take advantage of the watch abilities. Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) is reportedly considering ways that it can integrate Apple Watch into its line of electric cars.
Concerns being addressed
There were initial concerns that Apple Watch popularity would be undermined by a lack of apps something that continues to make the iPhone a powerful brand. Fast forward and developers have been busy, coming with a string of apps that continue to position Apple’s first product after the iPad in 2010 as a must have wearable.
CityMapper is an app that provides directions for selected cities. It guides users with direction to places of work, nearby public transport or even nearby locations. Apple’s Apple Watch also supports Twitter app which means that users can see notifications.
