A report from Forbes suggests that the Pixel XL, the first phone by Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) subsidiary Google, is ‘comfortably’ the best phone of 2016.

The report, by Jay McGregor of Forbes, says that the Google Pixel XL is a true all-rounder. The search engine giant launched the Pixel line up in October. The smartphone runs Android Nougat 7.1 operating system.

“Lots of metrics are factored in when I’m considering what makes a ‘good’ smartphone, or, indeed the ‘best’. Battery life, performance, camera, build quality, innovation, sound quality and overall design, amongst others,” Jay wrote.

Why Pixel XL is Best Phone

The Forbes report claims that the overall build quality of the Google Pixel XL is solid. The camera has a very good camera that produces good results in auto focus mode. The phone’s performance “remains lightning fast.” And it has a long battery life, according to the report.

In a recent report, AFR suggested that the Google Pixel XL is a much better than the Apple iPhone 7. According to the report, the Pixel is lighter than the iPhone 7. However, the phone’s lighter weight does not affect its reliability, and it is easier to hold in your hands.

The glass inlay on the back of the Pixel provides a great grip for the user’s index finger that makes the smartphone feel safer in hands. The smartphone is a bit smaller than the iPhone, but has the same size screen, the AFR report notes.

Furthermore, the AMOLED display of Pixel XL phone is better than the LCD screen of the iPhone. The design of the Pixel XL is beautiful as well as utilitarian, and its sharper AMOLED screen eclipses the Retina display of the iPhone. The USB-C fast charging of the Google’s Pixel XL device is faster than the iPhone.

The Pixel features Google Assistant, the built-in customer support service, unlimited and free backup of full-res photos and videos, and Smart Storage. Google Assistant is designed to compete with Apple’s Siri, Microsoft’s Cortana, and Amazon’s Alexa.

Morgan Stanley believes that Google will generate $3.8 billion in revenue by selling more than 5 million Pixel smartphones in 2017. The firm’s analyst Brian Nowak wrote in a note to clients that the search engine giant is estimated to sell 5.5 million Pixel phones next year. He expects the firm to sell 3 million units in the last three months this year, generating $2 billion. The analyst also estimates that Pixel phone, Google’s expanded text ads, a fourth mobile ad unit, and Maps will generate $6.5 billion in revenues for the company in 2017.

“Bigger picture, we believe the Pixel is important as [Alphabet] works to provide users a more integrated and consistent Android experience aimed to improve Android user mobile search monetization,” Nowak wrote.
