Apple Inc. has just revealed the location of its European training center. Luca Maestri, the tech giant’s exec and CFO, announced that the iOS coding center will operate in Italy. Training should begin within the next several months. The university of Naples Federico II will serve as Apple’s incubator of talented iOS developers.
Apple will open coder academy
“We are thrilled to be working with University of Naples Federico II to launch the first iOS Developers Academy in Europe,” Maestri announced. The CFO pointed out that the E.U. is known for sourcing some of the globes most talented developers. “[W]e are confident this center will help the next generation get the skills they need to succeed.”
The Academy will have Apple working with companies around Italy to provide the campus with educational material. The Academy will house learner curricula and educators as well. Apple ties with the surrounding companies will also offer job opportunities for graduates of the school.
Only 200 trainees will be chosen to take part in the course and it is reported to span over for nine months. People who have applied from all over the E.U. will be invited to take the admittance exam. Reports from Macerkopf say the University of Naples Federico II is even looking to set the course into faculty.
Apple CEO Tim Cook made news of the Academy’s arrival himself at the start of the year and could hold his excitement. Cook believes the skills offered by the course will provide a platform for development and will pave the way for the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Apple the coder employer giant
In Europe, Apple Inc. has employed more than 1.4 million people through its App Store and developer ventures. “The phenominal success of the App Store is one of the driving forces behind the more than 1.4 million jobs Apple has created in businesses of all sizes across the continent,” Cook said in January.
The iOS Developers Center is set be introduced in other E.U. Countries over time, Apple assures. The company has made no comment on these other locations. However, another nation that the U.S. Tech giant has shown an interest in is India. The Asian subcontinent has proven itself to hold some amazing young I.T. innovators. It is believed that Apple has plans to launch an Academy there as well. Reports claim it will be in Bengaluru and opens next year.
For Italy, Apple’s center for iOS training should lift the country’s status as fine producer of coders. The country stands to grow employment opportunities in through the course’s graduates as well. The U.S. Tech producer says Italy supports over 75,000 jobs created by Apple and its App Store alone.
Crediting the course’s integrity; the University of Naples Federico II is the absolute older public university in the world. It currently has a formidable computer science faculty, but Apple Inc.’s program endorsement is sure to elevate its ranking.
