For starters, Microsoft calls it a laptop instead of a tablet, yet its keyboard cover remains a separate purchase. That’s pretty understandable though — call it a laptop and people will see it as one.The 2015 release was pushed as a tablet which could double as a laptop when needed. However promoting the Surface Pro 4 as a standalone tablet meant that buyers were missing out on the full experience. Pro 4 users can easily get their hands on the additional foldout keyboard at a cost, but what’s the motive? It is a tablet after all, right?With this new release, Microsoft wants people getting the most from its capability, hence the repeated use of the word “laptop” at its unveiling. But we are probably just splitting hairs here. The Surface Pros are notoriously 2-in-1 devices. Tablet or Laptop, products in this device range can be both and that is where most of the appeal lies.Expected an awesome Microsoft Surface Pro (MSFT)It offers the best performance ever for a device of its weight and size and an incredible battery on top of that. Microsoft Corporation claims to have made the most of every millimeter available on this new gadget. In contrast to the Surface Pro 4, it has more than 800 new parts with 99 percent of the inside occupied by some piece of tech. And again, since the company made sure no one left the event without knowing, Microsoft made sure it crammed the most into of this ultra-thin machine.Users can get up to 13.5 hours of continuous video playback for the new Surface Pro. Compared to the MSFT Surface Pro 4, that’s a 50 percent increase. Clashed against the iPad Pro, that’s 35 percent more.The new Pro also features a 12.3-inch PixelSense touchscreen display. Its Core i5 variant is the first i5 device to ever make use of fanless architecture. That means while the device is incredibly powerful, user will hear no humming while using the product. The gadget comes in Core m3 and Core i7 editions too.The Microsoft Surface Pro costs $799.99 and will land in stores this June along with the new Surface Laptop. It makes use an all-new Surface Pen, as well. With over 4,096 pressure points, it comes as the “most natural and responsive edition of the Surface Pen. It can also magnetically tether itself to the new Pro, in case you were worried about losing it.
