Microsoft Corporation announced that the highly-anticipated 2TB Xbox One S will arrive early next month. Starting August 2, the 2TB Xbox One S launch edition will be available in select regions, the company announced Monday. All pre-orders will arrive on that date. The company is also offering the console with 1TB and 500GB hard drives for $349 and $299, respectively.
Xbox One S
The new Xbox One S is 40% smaller than the original Xbox One. The gaming console includes a built-in power supply. To give it a new look, the company moved one of the three USB ports and the pairing button to the front alongside the newly added IR blaster for increased accessibility.
In addition to playing games on the redesigned Xbox One S, users will be able to watch Blu-ray movies and stream video in stunning 4K Ultra HD with High Dynamic Range (HDR).
“With HDR support for video and gaming, Xbox One games like Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, and Scalebound will look even better thanks to a higher contrast ratio between lights and darks, bringing out the true visual depth of your favorite games,” Microsoft said in a statement.
Xbox One S is coming bundled with the new Xbox Wireless Controller featuring textured grip, improved Xbox Wireless signal and added Bluetooth support. Available from August 2, the controller can be bought as a standalone item for $59.99. All Xbox One games, accessories and Xbox Live services will work with Xbox One S.
At the end of the last month, Microsoft announced that it achieved a new milestone by manufacturing one million Xbox One Elite Controllers to date. The Xbox One Elite Controller, which was introduced in last October, offers multiple different customization options.
On August 2, the 2TB launch edition Xbox One S will be available in limited quantities for $399 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK and United States.
Microsoft Corporation plans to introduce Xbox One S in more markets later this year.
Microsoft Building Most Powerful Gaming Console

The company also premiered a wide range of games launching in 2016 and beyond for Xbox One and Windows 10, including a mix of exclusives, blockbusters and independent games.
Microsoft also announced Xbox games with Gold titles for July. The award-winning Tumblestone puzzle game will be available free from 16th July to 15th August. Another title, Tron: Evolution, will be available for free download from July 16 to July 31 on Xbox 360.
In addition, the company is also offering the Xbox One S Gears of War 4 Limited Edition, which is now available for pre-order. This is the first-ever custom-designed Xbox One S bundle.
