Apple Inc showcased its new iPhone SE on Monday. Along with it came the latest addition to the iPad line-up, the iPad Pro. Both of these products are the smallest of their device range. The iPhone SE sports a smaller screen than the recent iPhone 6s, reverting back to a familiar iPhone 5s screen size. The iPad Pro has a 9.7-inch screen. The two new products are now open for pre-order.
Apple’s new iPhone
The new iPhone looks and reportedly feels a lot like the iPhone 5s, except its edges are chamfered. It is said to behave a lot more efficiently too. This is because the iPhone SE holds the same processor as the new top-range iPhone 6s and 6s plus. Though smaller and considerably cheaper, it holds many of the 6s range’s capabilities as well. It lacks the fun new 3D Touch feature and the extended battery life, though it’s a forgive loss considering you pretty much get everything else.
The iPhone SE comes in 16GB and 64GB versions. They would set you back $399 and $499 respectively. It has a rose-gold option and is available on all four major U.S. Carriers. Apple is also willing to tinker down the price if you’re willing to trade in your current iPhone for the SE.

Apple’s new iPad
The new 9.7-inch iPad Pro is available for pre-order as well. It holds the powerful A9X chip and, like the iPhone SE, has many of the great features found on its larger and more expensive counterparts. Its accessories include a magnetically connectable keyboard, enabled by Apple’s Smart Connector. It has four efficient speakers as well, and supports the use of the Apple Pencil.
Prices range from $599 to $1,029. Apple staggers the devices’ price according to how many things you want it to do. If you want just 32GB storage and WiFi use, that’s your starting point. Greater storage and cellular capabilities raise the price.
The new iPhone SE and iPad Pro devices are available to pre-order online and at Apple Stores.
