Apple Inc.  is set on transforming the Apple Watch into a great communication device. Gone are the days when this fancy wrist piece was just an item you could stare at. Along with other apps, it will be instilled with Facebook Messenger in a way that is truly new to the device. Its Messenger app will allow users to share their location, text and send audio messages, too.

Apple Inc. Brings a New FB Messenger to its Watch

Apple’s new version of Messenger was announced on Wednesday at the iPhone maker’s big launch event. The app has over 700 million monthly users worldwide. To be able to stay in contact with friends by simply speaking, and have them listen to that message, will surely a bring a new kind of appeal to the device. Besides the use of SMS, Facebook Messenger is the largest messaging tool in the US.

“With Messenger for Apple Watch, people have a new way to stay connected with those they care about, by sending and receiving voice clips, Likes, stickers, and more. We’re excited about the Launch of messenger for this platform and look forward to hearing people’s feedback,” Facebook posts.

Facebook has not only been pushing its agenda of being on every platform. The world’s largest social network is adamant on becoming everyone’s go-to solution for just about anything. It even built an Google Glass app. Though the company does not directly cash in from Messenger, the tool herds consumers into the social network. This, in turn, gives more exposure to Facebook’s ads.

Twitter Brings Out New iOS App

Staying in par with Apple Inc.  and social networks, Twitter has unified its look across all mobile iOS devices. The microblogging tool has done away with its old iPad design and placed the new outfit on the iPhone as well. The new app came out on Wednesday.

The company compares the revamp to a pyramid, saying the content width adjusts according to the size of the text.

“We can adjust the baseline design so the content feels right relative to the size of the view,” writes Twitter product Designer Brendan Donohoe.

Everyone’s Jumping on the Apple Watch Bandwagon

Alongside the reveal was the new gold Apple Watch Sport, which also comes in rose gold. Apple  promises to have make more colored sports bands available to Watch owners and users of the device will also have access to a range of new unique apps. GoPro will now have its own app on the Apple Watch. Also new the wrist piece are iTranslate and AirStrip.

Although the Apple Watch currently holds a small user base, it is growing rapidly in popularity. Social networking entities want to be found and ready for use on the device when it gets to the top.

Some 10,000 other apps has have been released on the device. Small entities like Glide, Telegram and Voxer all cashed in among many others to fit their brand on the everyone’s wrists. Even Instagram offered a way to view photos on the Apple Watch.
