Apple Inc. sold the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus this weekend and the world has had ample time for unboxing videos and hands-on reviews. The tech world seems to agree that the new devices are living up to expectations. Apple fans are defying elements and queueing for days in front of Apple stores while the Chinese are doing crazy things such as selling their kidneys in order to buy an iPhone 6S. Yet, the market is already talking about the iPhone 7.
China’s Weibo carried the news of a rumor about Apple’s plan for its new device that might be hitting the shelves in the next one year. Apple releases a new generation of iPhones every three years while the year in-between is used to release an –S version of the previous model. The 6S and 6S Plus has been released this year; hence, the new gen iPhone 7 is due to be released next year.
What to Expect from the iPhone 7
Apple doesn’t seem to rest on its laurels in delivering a better smartphone experience with each new device. In the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, the firm tried to end the infamous #Bendgate saga by using a series 7000 aluminum material. The series 7 aluminum material is one of the strongest metals and it is used by makers of aircraft. However, the report hints that Apple will be using an even stronger material for the body of the iPhone 7.
iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus have a blazing speed with the A9 chipset that Apple has used. Rumor has it that you can expect to the A10 chipset in the iPhone 7. More so, the new chipset will have a core count of six, which gives the new iPhones a hexa-core processor. Apple debuted 3D touch in the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus – it seems that iPhone 7 will have a curved screen and it might even have a full-HD screen resolution.
Analysts positive about Apple iPhone 7
The iPhone 6S is making a whole lot of sense. The new A9 chip makes them blazing fast, the 3D touch feature is in a class of its own, and the rose gold model seems to be a best seller. The great features of the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are great, but they are only a harbinger of what we can expect when the iPhone 7 is unveiled.
Brian White of Cantor Fitzgerald thinks that Apple ‘s end game is a suite of devices that keeps users locked within its ecosystem. The upcoming iPhone 7 is also step in the general direction of creating “Planet Apple”.
Those looking for a truly great smart phone that will be a major upgrade from the iPhone 6 may want to sit this gen out. If the rumors are right Jony Ive has something truly terrific in store for us next year.
