It’s true – Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)‘s iPhone has some amazing features that the Google Pixel doesn’t offer. But, when it comes to weight, screen, battery, and operating system, Google’s Pixel is much better. A recent report from AFR compares the iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 7 series with Pixel XL.
Pixel XL is lighter, and fits better in hand
The Pixel is lighter than the iPhone 7. The weight of the iPhone 6s Plus is 192 grams, whereas of the Pixel XL is just 168 grams. The iPhone 7 is a little lighter than the iPhone 6s Plus, but by just 4 grams. Hence, the Pixel XL is the lightest of the three. In addition, the lighter weight of the Pixel does not affect its reliability, and it is easier to hold in your hands, notes AFR.
Many do not like cases, but have to use them for iPhones as the metal back and edges of the iPhone do not provide a good grip. On the other hand, the glass inlay on the back of the Pixel provides a great grip for the user’s index finger that makes the smartphone feel safer in hands. The smartphone is a bit smaller than the iPhone, but has the same size screen.
Another thing is the screen of the Pixel XL. The LCD screen of the iPhone is good, but the contrast is not as pronounced, and the colors on the screen are not as rich as on the AMOLED display of Pixel XL phone. The design of the Pixel XL is beautiful as well as utilitarian, and its sharper AMOLED screen eclipses the Retina display of the iPhone.
The 1440p screen of the Pixel is sharper than the 1080p screen of the iPhone 7 Plus. Apps, videos, and pictures pop with inky black and vibrant colors on the AMOLED screen of the Pixel, which gives a modern and a more premium look overall, notes AFR.
Pixel XL is faster than Apple iPhone
The Pixel XL is almost 100% charged after two hours of charging, whereas the iPhone 7 Plus is just near 72%. The USB-C fast charging of the Google’s Pixel XL device is faster than the iPhone. Thanks to Android, the Pixel XL has a long battery life.
One can make Pixel work faster by adjusting Android and removing the animations, when we open apps and swipe between screens. This cannot be done with the iPhone as Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) would not allow us to touch its animations, says AFR. Also, notifications can be managed better in Android.
The universal back-button, which brings the user back to the last page or the screen they were on, is simply incredible. In case of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iOS, the back-button for screens and apps can differ from app to app. Also, the Google’s Assistant has proven to be better and more advanced than Apple’s Siri.
